Review: Revlon CustomEyes Shadow & Liner w/ swatches

I decided to review an eyeshadow palette today. It was bought in Singapore by my sis and she gave it to me as "Pasalubong" (it's a gift from someone who came from a trip or vacation) last February. She said that it was purchased in Watsons. I used this palette last April when I had a makeup gig.

Here it is:

Revlon CustomEyes Shadow & Liner allows you to easily create and customize the eye look you want with 4 shadows and 1 liner. For a dramatic eye popping like never before!

Naturally Glamorous: For a natural look in the evening just intensify your daytime look. Lips and cheeks can go darker and more shimmer can be added to the eyes.

I was so excited to this product because I love Revlon product especially their Colorstay Oily/Combination Liquid Foundation. My sis also picked the right shades because they are in warm colors which are good for weddings and any day or night events.

At the back of the palette, you will see the shade name and steps on where to put apply the shade on the eye.

Expert Tips : Use the wider side to cover the eye area in shadow and the the pointed end to apply the liner shade.

The palette has a two-sided sponge applicator which is usable. However, I always use my brush set when applying to my clients.

The shades are pretty pigmented! You can create different looks using this palette. They have creamy-like consistency when you rub it to your fingers.

I checked the price of this at Revlon Counter in The Landmark and I was surprised  because it costs around PhP 800.00 (I can't remember the exact amount). I know that you're also surprised but you can find online sellers who have lower prices because they purchased it straight from the US.

I would recommend this to all women out there! You can partner your favorite high-end or budget-friendly lipsticks with this eyeshadow palette.

Thanks for reading my review and feel free to comment below, rave, and share my blogs on your Social Networks. Stay tuned for my upcoming reviews twice every week this September!

Bye for now!

REVIEW: Affordable Must-have Brush Set!

Being a makeup lover, I always want to have perfect tools to make my gigs quick and easy. Last Summer, I followed @beautycosmeticsbrushes on Instagram. I was adored by their products especially the Chelsy Black Brush Set that I will be reviewing today.

The product is very sturdy. Do you love this set?

It comes with a cylinder for storage of brushes

Here are the brushes:

I find this brush very dense. This is perfect for powders like pressed, loose and mineral forms.

This was one of the reasons why I purchased this set. I dreamt of this brush because most Beauty Vloggers mention that you can have an airbrush effect with this tool. It's dense and the fibers are long enough to achieve its purpose.

This is use for sculpting your face. You can contour your cheek, forehead, jaw line, and nose by this tool.

This will make your foundation routine very easy. Just make sure to use a sponge after to remove the streaky marks.

I love using this to contour the nose because it's small enough to line the sides of the nose.

This brush is designed to pack eyeshadows. Its tapered bristle can be used to blend harsh lines to have softer look.

Its  medium size is also perfect for eyeshadow packing. This is also ideal for concealing fine lines on the under eye.

I like using this to highlight the inner lids and the brow bone.

Another reason in purchasing this product is it has a blending brush which other sets do not have. This is use to soften all the harsh lines after you packed your eyeshadow.

I use this to conceal big zits because it has a point on its end.

You can use this to smudge the line on your lower eyeliner. I often use this for creating the line on the inner-V of the eye.

You can achieve your desired brows using this brush because of its size. You may start lining the eyebrow edges then fill in the empty parts to create natural to dramatic eyebrow shapes.

This is a freebie when you get this brush set! This is very thick and dense. I love using this for liquid foundation and BB Cream application. It's a perfect dupe for Sigma F80 brush.

I purchased this set during the Celebrity Bazaar @ SM Megamall and Ms. Rosenn was very accommodating to me. I was also featured as one of their satisfied customers on Instagram.

Overall, this is a must-have for those who would like to start doing makeup for themselves and for makeup artists. Your makeup time will be cut in half because of this product. For the price, It's PHP 1,550. I did a spot cleaning before taking photos and I did not see any fall-outs. For vegans out there, you will enjoy this set because the brushes are made of synthetic fibers.

I appreciate your time reading my blog and feel free to leave your honest feedback about this blog. I hope you read my next reviews!

Bye for now!

Disclaimer: I purchased this product with my own money and the above is my personal opinion. I was not paid by the Beauty Cosmetics in reviewing this product. I'm just a satisfied customer that believes with the product.

Budget-friendly Lipsticks w/ swatches

Hi! The product that I'll be reviewing today is no longer new to all Filipinas. The brand name is famous in Direct Selling industry like Avon, Natasha, MSE, etc. It is known for their bags, watches, apparels and of course, cosmetics.

The product name is Sophie Paris! I will review 4 shades of their lipsticks.

The packaging of the lipstick is decent enough.

The first time  I saw these lipsticks was last December 2012. We had a Monito-Monita (it's like Kris Kringle) and my Monita (the person that I'm supposed to give a gift) wished to have lipsticks from Sophie. She explained on the Wish list that the lipsticks are on sale for only 79 pesos each.
Everyone should have a gift that costs 400 pesos. I think I gave 6 shades of lipsticks to my Monita and I bought them from my colleague named Toni who is currently reviewing for her Bar Exam. Good luck Toni!!!!.

As we all know, Filipinos are very hardworking and we find ways to have extra money other than our salary from work. I have another colleague named Jhustine who is also selling Sophie products. I borrowed her brochure and brought it to Bulacan where my hometown is during my rest day. I told my sister that the lipsticks are very affordable and she was amazed by the price.

I ordered 4 shades of lipsticks for my sister. I got the lipstick w/o paying the total amount of 4 shades. I will pay Jhustine in installment basis. The total amount will be divided into two and it will be given to her in our 2 consecutive paydays. Here in the Philippines, it's called two-gives.

Here are the 4 shades that I bought and these will be given to my sister. She's also my model for today!

First shade:

I find it not too pigmented. Although when you see it's shade I remember Barbie doll's lips.

Second Shade:

It's also not too pigmented for me. It has a coral shade. This is perfect for Pinays with beige to tan complexion.

Third shade:

The shade is closed to Mango Peach however it has brown shade.

Fourth shade:

I was amazed by the pigmentation of this lipstick other than the 3 shades. It has a dark red shade which is perfect if want to be foxy! I don't know why it has orangey tone on the picture but in real life it has dark red tone. This is my favorite shade. This is also good for all skin color!

     All shades have creamy formulation.

Verdict: I find it very affordable for 85 pesos each. These would be perfect for college students or office women who want to have a natural look because the shades are safe to be worn everyday. I find it not too pigmented except for Russian Red which my sister and I really like! I think you can't blame the pigmentation because of it's price.

Overall, the Sophie Paris Lipsticks have hits and misses. I think they have good pigmentation w/ red shades.
If you find this lipstick line will sooth your preference, go ahead and look for Sophie dealer near you.
I appreciate your time reading my first blog and I hope you read my next reviews!
